Still not enough to get out

Still not good enough to get out, and just as well
it's stone cold outside!

Just to stay on the radar, I thought I'll post some photo's
of a previous life of me, before I got hooked on Plein air.

In those days I just made Indian ink sketches in the field
and worked them out into large abstract paintings, ... lots of fun
but also lots of solitary work in your studio.

These are pictures of a show of my work in a locale library,
together with a fellow artist Tino Goedings.

And some of my older work.
Large, ... 90 x 120 cm.

This cold that I have is a little more stubborn that I
expected, ...

I upload an old painting form 2006, just to stay on the radar.

Painting for Haiti

No painting today, at least not for me to sell.

Silvester Peperkamp and Leida Blom had a marvelous idea to
paint and sell art for the disaster in Haiti. This morning I
thought when I gonna meet them why not today, so up I went
to Tiel, ... a great day with a great result!!

Almost 600 Euros for those poor people over there.

Leida en Silverster thank you both for this initiative
I enjoyed it a lot, and what a great result!

Here it was where it all happened.

I can't paint portraits very well, but there where a few people who
loved to have their house painted, on this square,
That's more my cup of tea!

And of course a little pub, ... lucky me.

I enjoyed it a lot, thanks again Leida and Silvester.

Misty station Arnhem.

Oops almost forgot to upload today's effort.
It was done this morning, very foggy and I hoped
that the fog would lift a little to show a little
of the town behind this train station, ... it didn't.

Before I push the publish button I want to point out
Karl Terry Plein Air painting effort. He's committed himself to paint every
day at least one painting, and I guess he can get a little
encouragement from his fellow painters, ... It's well worth
too have a look at his work, England is such a painters paradise!

It's quite an picturesque scene, in the middle of a large city,
that's why I also show a photo of it, it shows very well
how it's build inn, ... it give soo much more charm I think.

Ice skating Holland.

And I was thinking last Monday that it was cold!
It can get much worst, much much worst although you
hardly can see it on the paintings and photo's

Anyway you can't get these scenes in the summer and
it's well worth the experience and effort,

Still cold but heartwarming beautiful.

Still cold, indeed but much to beautiful to stay
indoors. Tucked up real thick especially your feet
and not going too far from a pub or other possible
hot chocolate it's a real treat to practice all those
blueish grey tonals, especially when the sun is interfering

COLD! Arnhem, Holland.

This could well be the coldest painting of this year,
standing in the middle of a bridge over the Rhine looking
at Arnhem for two hours, ...

Thought it would be more white though, so with a little luck
I can give it a go, ... another time.

First some chocolate, ... WARM!
