Flowerchat Holland.

One thing that's odd about spring is
that you have the idea that all
garden-centre are blooming with flowers, .... Nope.

The big feast starting at "Koninginnedag." Queens-day. (30 04)
that's what the owner told me, .... so a rehearsal then.

"Bloemenpraatje." Velp. Holland.
Oil on board. 7 x 9" (Not for sale.)

Yes, it's really nice to look at this series of spring paintings, René.

When i first saw your blog, all the paintings were very gray-ish and that attracked me...and i thought it was because i live in a very bright country.

But now that i see the more colorful ones, and i continue to feel fascinated, i think it must be because the painter has so much joy when painting, that it's impossible not to enjoy too ! :)

These dots of color make this painting wonderful and the simplicity of the brushstrokes who indicate the reality is very well done.
And by the way, there is something for you on my blog. :-))

Rene, I was just waiting to see your country change from winter to spring and now it's happening. This is a lovely painting and I am looking forward to each day.
