They are building a new neighborhood (again) in my home town
and to give those future people an easy entrance they change
this road too a roundabout.

Nice colors everywhere yellow, red, orange it gives you
almost a feeling of being part of a huge party.

Shipyard Bennik. Holland.

Been here so often, and while biking over the bridge to
Arnhem you can see this little shipyard, so every time
I am looking if there is something interesting going on.
I noticed this ship a few days ago and I just had to
visiting it.

This ship gonna get a bow thruster.
Bit straight forward, drill a whole right through
the hull place a pipe in it
and fit a screw inside the pipe, ...

If every thing was as easy as you can tell, ...

Anyway here is the painting.

Buying spring. Holland.

I wanted to paint this flower-shop for a long time,..
and today it was the day I reckoned, all those lovely
colors, and people smiling with a feeling of spring inside.

It's on a corner of a quite busy road in a small town.
So lots of traffic and onlookers as well.

"Lentestal." Velp, Holland.

Hard to choose. Holland.

Strange weather here in Holland,
At one moment the Sun is shining and you
have a feeling of spring, the next moment
it's snowing and its deep winter, ....

what to choose while painting, ...
I chose the sunny side.

"Still standing." Holland.

As promised.

Every time I pass this shack I am in wonder that it sill stands.
Many of these old shacks are torn down or rebuild, but this little one
is still standing proud.

It's almost an honour to paint these little remnants of old times.

Building a new landing-stage. Holland.

This is probably the fastest painting this year, .. so far.
Lots of movement and changes, but when painted the large scape's the
rush took over and it was great fun!! (Rob knows what that means)
A bit like "Here I stand!"

"Catching up." Holland.

I had a little luck today, ....
While painting this church against the sunlight, with in mind
the large tree that was standing in front of it,
these people stood there for quiet a while, ...
Catching up I reckoned.
The Sun disappeared and the mood of the scene change
so dramatically that I change my focus on these people,
and tried to catch up, so to say with the mood at home
on the church, .. so not 100% plein air, .... sorry.

"Even bijpraten." Rheden, Holland.
