Looking from the Waterberg. Holland.

Had to go to a funeral today.
I decided that i would take the bike,
and left as early as i could to make a
little painting just before the service begun.

"Vanaf de Waterberg."
Or maybe "For Karl."
Arnhem, Holland.
(Looking from the Waterberg.)
Oil on board. 12 x 24 cm.

(Little odd size, but sometimes you have some left overs.)

Wonderful feeling in this one. One day I hope to be able to visit Holland. The scenes you paint make it very tempting.

I love the spontainety of your work - and the light and fluidity. Although I have never been to The Netherlands they seem to reflect the essence of your country. I sometimes work en plein air too (with watercolours) but find it hard not to overwork the finished pieces!
