"The entrance." Holland.

Strange today, i wanted to go to a harbour,
but looked backwards and saw this house.
I remembered it well because i been taking
a look often. But today i turned to have a go.
The owner was cleaning all kinds of stuff because
he's going to move to Nijmegen, ....
so a kind of a memorial piece.

"Het Entree." Lathum, Holland.
(The entrance.)
Oil on board. 18 x 24 cm.

That's the best way to find a subject, I find. Even if I'm off to another place to paint, if I see something that strikes me on the way, I'll change my plans. It's not often inspiration can be planned.

pity that's also often the other way around, you have something in mind/remembered and can't find any spot that has that touch.

Thanks for the visit Ed
