Zomers buitje. Holland

Today I stayed a little closer to home,
just on the other side of the dike there
are some pools, they where created by
flushing water from the river IJssel
where the dike broke in the past,
the dike runs around them and there
are lovely fishing spots also, very deep water,
and some of them are used as swimming
pool as well in the summer.

This ones not:

"Zomers buitje." Westervoort, Holland.
(Summer shower.) Oil on board.
24 x 30 cm.

They are colourful and have a good sense of depth and transparency.

Really nice vigourous brush strokes making the water so believable. Bravo. I found you through my colleague Alberto.
