Boat washing. Holland.

Got lucky today,
I went to the shipyard again right on the other side of the IJssel.
A worker was placing a huge plastic shield, I asked what the meaning of it was, ....
He was going to wash the boat.
Not immediately, so I painted the scene and waited for him to get started.
Again lucky me he started on the other side,
so I had some change to make little black & white sketches from him,
and placed one of them in my scene.

By the time he was "really" in the scene I only had to concentrate on the water vapour, .....

So here you go:

"Boot wassen." Westervoort, Holland.
(Boat washing.) Oil on board.
22 x 24 cm.

I can feel the spray, did you paint far enough back to stay dry?
