"Filling up Holland."

Finally a new work form me, .. don't know why it took so long?!

This is a follow up form the painting I made in March
"Building a new landing-stage. Holland."
Made on the other side where they are putting the new stage now.
You can see it in the distance, the will fill up the waterway on the
left later and then this whole area is ready for build up and concrete factory.

"Dichten Pleywaard." Arnhem, Holland.
(Closing Pleywaard.) Oil on board. 24 x 30 cm.

Rene I think this painting is one of your strongest and best. The composition is wonderful and the colour exactly right. Why they would replace water with concrete - oh my.. well you have captured a place for posterity and it will be there for ever into the future whatever they build.

You are so right Sheila, it's hard sometimes to see thing change, I hardly can keep up to paint it before things change. ah well Holland is such a small country there is more much more left.

Thanks for your comment.
