"Hielkje." Arnhem, Holland.

As said the day before yesterday, I promised to show
one of the other work I made last Thursday.
I started this one even earlier, ... last Friday to be exact
but it went so dark so soon that I had to stop.
Luckily grey days never change so I could take it up
right where I left, ...

It's a bit abstract, but I do like that.
The line between real and abstract is always a strange and narrow one
and not only in plein air work.

Saw police men defending a Christmas-tree in Greece today,
who can imagine that for example?!

Rene I think it's fantastic. It looks good in both thumbnail and full size. I agree with the guy who said - all painting is abstraction because you cannot duplicate exactly "the reality". Even a question of whether the "reality" really exists? But I don't want to start getting existential or you'll throw tomatoes at me maybe.
