Leaking head-gasket

I discovered that my car has got a leaking head-gasket, bummer!

So I am a bit busy to fix that this week, .. hope I can sneak away
between some jobs we'll see

"Circus !!" Holland.

Biking back home last Wednesday I saw they where building up a circus
in Huissen. Today I reckoned they had finished it, so I went for a look.

It was quite windy, so I had to brace my tripod.
Unluckily there wasn't a good spot outside the Sun, but I think
I maneged it quite well, ... although I tweaked it a bit at home.

"Alongside the church." Holland.

First of all, my car has past his annual inspection JIPPIE!!
And secondly the rules have changed so I have to let him
inspect for two year now!!

Tried to visit my dad today, but unluckily he wasn't home, this gave a nice
opportunity to paint in Doetinchem, a larger city some 30 km away from her.
I lived there for all my youth.

"Waiting for restoration." Holland.

Many times I saw this shipyard from the other side of the Rhine,
and each time I wanted to visit it for a days paint, ...

The first painting was quite easy to find, the second (I made two)
a lot harder there where just too many nice places,
so I decided to make some sketches as well with Indian ink and a matchstick, ...

"On the way." Holland.

Made two yesterday, but the second one was such a disaster, ...
Everything went wrong, first the Sun was full on my pochade, so
I had to set up my self made umbrella which causes that I had
to stick my head under it before I could paint, .. not seeing anymore
what I painted. I couldn't change my setup because the street wasn't big, ....

Luckily I discovered that I took a photo from the boy on the bike, ..
so when tweaking a little this morning, I put the little guy in as well

"There she comes." Holland.

A great afternoon!!
There was a so called "Koopzondag" in Huissen
a little village just on the other side of the Rhine.
Went there by ferry, and because of the "koopzondag"
there where all kinds of activities, ... including a band!!

Nice music great weather, a waitress coming to me to
serve a drink, ...

Its such a strange weather here, one day it's a bit like autumn
the next it's like high summer, ... luckily today it was
the last one, so as my girlfriend (Annette) says "Terrasjesweer!"
and indeed, it such a joy to paint those happy people, and to
be completely honest its a great thought that a fresh drink is never
far away ;-)

Waiting for tomorrow. Holland.

Not my best day today, ... first I had to wait for a
delivery ( a new MP3 player :-P) and I am no hero of waiting
for those things, ... finally it came but just before that we
had a electric blackout, ... so no uploading my new MP3, ... bugger!

Aah well it went back on a few hours later and I maneged to get out with
my new player and painted this one on a nearby sand winning area.

Garden "Het Hofje." Holland.

Discovered a new painting-spot!!

A lovely little garden run by an nice old man who was very friendly
gave me first a fresh drink, man what a heat today! and at the end
a nice cup of cafe. and when i was planning to get home I discovered
a apple in my bike-helmet :-)

Amersfoort II Holland.

So here you have it, the result of a day trip Amersfoort!

The first was also the last painting, without all the onlookers.
