Two color painting.

It's sooo dull here you can do a plein air painting with only two colors,
.... paynes grey and raw Sienna.
Of course Titanium but that's no color!
"Lathumsedijk." Westervoort. Holland.
Oil on board. 7 x 9"
Not for sale.

It may be dull but your paintings are beautiful, keep it up. Ah, yes, the colors are dull here this time of year also. Makes for a long winter. It is a good value exercise for me! Have a wonderful New Year Rene'!

Thanks Heidi,
You to, be careful with firework.

Glad you like it Larry, those colors aren't so far from the truth it gives a nice value exercise, what Heidi says though.

It's not so bad Lori, i like the muted colors and the greyness. Somehow it's suits me well. Although some lovely flowers wil fit nicely in a vase here, do send them!! ;-)

He I like your painting, I was looking for info on this place, because I spotted it while crossing the bridge. I thought immediately that it was a interesting place.
I'm not a painter or so, but it seems to me that you have painted two things in this one picture.
One the one hand this great, bewildered, natural place, with on the background a grey, monotonous, indifferent, yes indeed dull site.

To me it seems as if this was kind of the message of this painting, but I can be wrong of course.
