Had to go to a funeral today.
I decided that i would take the bike,
and left as early as i could to make a
little painting just before the service begun.
"Vanaf de Waterberg."
Or maybe "For Karl."
Arnhem, Holland.
(Looking from the Waterberg.)
Oil on board. 12 x 24 cm.
(Little odd size, but sometimes you have some left overs.)

love the view and flat light
nice lead in with the path in cool colors towards the yellow fields
Wow, such a beautiful morning. I agree with Rob, the light leads you in, what a nice place! ~Heidi
Wonderful feeling in this one. One day I hope to be able to visit Holland. The scenes you paint make it very tempting.
absolut gelungene komposition, ansprechende farbigkeit, tolle stimmung - gratuliere!!!
I love the subtle colors in this one, and it's a very nice design!
I love the spontainety of your work - and the light and fluidity. Although I have never been to The Netherlands they seem to reflect the essence of your country. I sometimes work en plein air too (with watercolours) but find it hard not to overwork the finished pieces!
