Zomers buitje. Holland

Today I stayed a little closer to home,
just on the other side of the dike there
are some pools, they where created by
flushing water from the river IJssel
where the dike broke in the past,
the dike runs around them and there
are lovely fishing spots also, very deep water,
and some of them are used as swimming
pool as well in the summer.

This ones not:

"Zomers buitje." Westervoort, Holland.
(Summer shower.) Oil on board.
24 x 30 cm.

I am really liking you water paintings Rene'!
They are colourful and have a good sense of depth and transparency.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers.... Andrew

Yeah the greens, when you get the hang of it they work quite well.

Thank you, nice to visit.

Thank you Dani, especially for the nice card!

Right-click with your mouse on the painting and select "Use as background" hehehehe, I am glad you like it.

Water, it's so lovely to paint, a Little abstract but not to much.
Thanks for your visit.

Thank you Lori, it's all in the palette knife :-)

Danke Michael, Ich suche immer weiter für noch mehr poetische Motiven.

Really nice vigourous brush strokes making the water so believable. Bravo. I found you through my colleague Alberto.
