I am jumping a bit back and forward in time the last couple of days.
That's because I painted a lot this week, two a day, and traveled a lot
(for me that is) by train. so every day I was late at home and just
maneged to upload one, .... but the good part of this is that I can
upload through the weekend as well :-)
This one I made yesterday, a Sunny springy day in Zutphen.
Maybe a bit too complex, but once you've seen those boats in real
you're never gonna forget them, ...
"Voor de boeg." Zutphen, Holland.
(For the bow.) Oil on panel.
24 x 30 cm.

your boat paintings are superb rene
you are going really strong
one can see you love your subject...
how about a new blog,
boat-a-day!
Indeed your boat paintings are superb. You must have quite a collection now?
Thanks you two, it has been a well spend week, ...
I am running out of boats here though.
I wanted to say that!
Admit it dude, you are in love with boats!
Sharp stuff René!
I like these boat paintings too, but it's not because they're boats. It's the deep tones, the rich colours and the interesting shapes.
hHoi Rene,
Man you are popular! You are painting very good, because of your dedication, just like Vincet Van Gogh broke through, so will you. Am thinking of subscribing for Daily Painters. What do you think? Looking forward to our next ptg session.a
Complex, yes, but also simple with those massive shapes of the hull. Fine painting, Rene.
Hehehe Wiele,
All right all right I confess, I love boats.
no there you got it!
Thanks Keith,
In my previous life I painted a lot of abstract landscapes
large ones as well, I guess that's showing through a bit here.
Hey Alberto,
Go right ahead but be aware that daily painting isn't that easy
I am lucky that I had enough energy this week to make two a day.
And being able to go out every day, ... "Sketch hunting"
Thanks Don,
Those are soo nice ships to paint!
..truly beautiful!
Amazing stuff René! :)
