"Jachthaven De Engel." De Steeg, Holland.

Went to De Steeg today, because the local
newspaper and news channel reported that the
low water level was quite extreme over there.
It turned out to be a little exaggerated, compared
to the harbours in Nijmegen or Arnhem.

I found a nice view of a shipyard instead, a bit complex
but a nice practice.

Nice, bright colors you've used (and it was such a grey and boring day today...)

Yes I like the colours too.

How do you get those straight lines? I find it very difficult with thick paint.

The little thumbnail showed up on my blog and I was struck by how different this one looked compared to recent posts. It's the colors. Very nice. Well, also an excellent composition.

thank you all for the nice comments,

Yes Marco, but I more think that the subject are finding me, ...

Grey days are no fun Brigitte but when looking only at the subject it's could well be turning out just fine.

Straight lines I use my palette knife Keith, mix some colour and strike a little down on your palette now take a little on the edges of you palette knife and put it onto your canvas, ... it will take some practice but it makes that you don't paint too tight.

Thanks Dale for your comment and visit.
