I painted this almost, ... okay mostly with a rag
rolled up into a fine point, but mixed the paint with
brush and palette-knife, in the end I used some brushes
and palette-knife to paint some details. It works very well,
more then I would expect at first.
This spot is maybe the most beautiful spot in Arnhem, when
looking at the Rhine back to the two main bridges, yes one
of them is the famous "market garden" bridge.
"Terugkijkend." Arnhem, Holland.
(Looking back.) Oil on panel.

Rene' - these autumn scenes are all so beautiful!
Hi Rene!...Love this autumn piece! It captures the stillness and muted final colour of Autumn very beautifully! I think your combination of painting strategies paid off for you in this one!
Great stuff! Good painting!

OK you were practising for when you forget your brushes weren't you! Hehe
I love the rich warm colours.
Great result with unusual technique. This is wonderful.
