COLD! Arnhem, Holland.

This could well be the coldest painting of this year,
standing in the middle of a bridge over the Rhine looking
at Arnhem for two hours, ...

Thought it would be more white though, so with a little luck
I can give it a go, ... another time.

First some chocolate, ... WARM!

"Arnhem vanaf De Pley." Arnhem, Holland.

I'm glad I found your work through Mineke - it's really terrific and I do so admire plein airheads who can stand for 2 hours in the freezing cold and produce paintings like this.

Thanks everyone,

It was more the wind that made it cold, wind across that cold water sucks the heat right out of you.

They have a name for it here "Waterkoud" I don't know if it's also called that way in English "Watercold" ?

Ooow ice skating Rob, ... you don't wanna know how nuts the Dutch get when it's freezing a bit, ... ELFSTEDENTOCHT!!!

Glad you found me Liz,
Had a quick look on you blog but not yet the time to look it through thoroughly, ... but I liked what I see already.

I think it might be about to get colder if our weather is anything to go by!

I don't know how you do it in this cold!

I don't know Katherine I hope not for one reason, because when the weather should come from the east it's gone cool down a lot more a whole lot more. Here in Holland is hoping for it because you can ice skate all over the country if it does, ...
