What a gorgeous spring day today, ... and then to remember that it was
complete white yesterday, ...
Anyway I biked around a lot, and made three paintings, so here we go:
The first one is quite early made, a little haze is still visible.
"Langs de Waaldijk." Bemmel, Holland.
(Along the Waaldike.) Oil on panel.
254 x 30 cm.
The second one I was struck by the haze you see against the sunlight,
together with the grayish wall of the Waaldike in Nijmegen it gave a
gorgeous view of this ship called the "Fokkelina"
They even have a site:
"Fokkelina." Nijmegen, Holland.
(Fokkelina.) Oil on panel.
24 x 30
And the last one of today, a lock.
This one was quite a struggle each time when a
heavy lorry or bus passed the bridge where I painted on
the whole bridge jumped up and down for a few moments, ...
"Sluis te Weurt." Nijmegen, Holland.
(Lock at Weurt.) Oil on panel.
24 x 30 cm.
Tomorrow model drawing, ... yahoo!!

Beautiful, as always! :)
I am curious what your bike looks like, packed with all the stuff you take with you on a plein air trip ...
Oooh look, no snow!! Beautiful Rene and I so admire you plein air painters. I was at the yacht basin on Tuesday and got seasick painting on the walkway!
Hi Rene!.... and what a great day it was! Three masterful pieces... all in a day's work! You sure captured the light and energy you obviously felt in the process of making the art! Great stuff!
Good Painting!

Bruce Sherman
