Noticed this nice great fellow yesterday morning and thought

it would be a nice experiment to paint it sitting , ... it changes

the composition so much that I am planning to get more used

to this kind of painting as well.

In my childhood I lived also in Doetinchem

and during those days I walked by this fence each day

when going to school, what a treat to paint it now!!

Typical Dutch weather, you hardly blocked your painting in

and everything turns grey, ... luckily I went for the little house

so the scene was still the same only the mood changed.

No not the IJssel like I used to paint in Westervoort.

This is the "OLD IJssel" and other river that flows

into the IJssel, it's not a big river and as Keith Tilley

says the edges really are a lot softer.

I keep getting treated here, ... while painted this scene,

a man started this fire and he even posed a bit.

Although I usually don't tweak much, I did this time,

just to trying my new studio!

Had a other spot in mind but the fresh morning light together with

the lovely road did reminded me so much of a painting of David Curtis

that I just had to paint it. The lady with her dogs where a extra treat at the end.

A lovely sunny morning, so I rushed to the other

side of town knowing that that scene should be well worth

painting, ... and even after the first one there was still enough

spark to get an other one done.

they forecast a little sun I didn't see it.
