Indeed Myra, Acrylic is very fast! The only way to work with that is mixing, mixing and then again mixing. Oil is much easier I'll guess you can really mess around a lot!! And with an non soaking surface (rubbing it in with Liquine for example) you can work for ages on/into it. I wish I could do watercolours, it has some properties of oil but all the easy parts of oil are vanished so watercolor are soo hard to do. I hope (and wish) that I am able to get some watercolours done when I am old and grey, ... just for fun after a lifetime of painting experience.

Have you ever used acrylic or watercolor? I have never used oil before. Sad,I know. I'm figuring its easier to play with since arcylic dries so fast.

Current painting is very straight-forward with good contrast.
