Painting in the rain isn't that difficult. First try to paint against the rain so you board an palette doesn't get too wet, second tilt your pochade a bit so the rain can't reach the board. Third when it really pours a lot, you can decide to wait a while, the light is much more simular during overcast wheater so you've got more time. some artists use all kinds of umbrella's I don't like those, especially wind wind you tend to put in more energy in the umbrella then the painting.

How do you paint outside in the rain? It does that a lot in Holland. I"m really drawn to this painting because of the feeling.
