Had a great day with Alberto Valentini an very passionate painter on the other side of The Netherlands painting almost every day on location which is mostely the beachside around The Hague.
We where very lucky with the weather cause it started of quiet cold as I left home it turned out to be a awesome day. Made two and I'll post the other one tomorrow which is the second one I made as well.

What a awesome sunset today, ... Hopefully a great prospect for tomorrows paint-out when we are going to paint at the IJssel in Zutphen with the Pictura Gelria group cause it's hightide at the floodplanes overthere. They forecast lovely sun with clouds so with a little luck it's gone be a real hoop.

Now that was a awesome day today!!

 

First Jan Baggen and I wenty to the "Noord Veluws Museum" Which was in one word just AWESOME!! Not to mention the very warm welcome by all the volunteers. After that we where a bit lost search for a little cottage which should have been in the area, ... painted by Jan van Vuuren but we couldn't find it and ended up in Elburg a little town nearby Nunspeet, ...

Of all weather I think I find this the worsted, Heavy windy grey weather with lots of rain.

Wind isn't that Obvious in a painting, but it sure does make it harder to paint in. Rain is not

that bad you can take an umbrella or take shelter somewhere but together with the wind and

the aweful greyness it's hard to get out there and find something decent to paint let alone to get inspired, ...

 

This painting is made on roughly the same spot I painted at night a few days ago, ... how things change, ... ;-)

This was a hard one to paint, ... usually I have a Mighty Brights © as light with me, but that wasn't helpful here. Once I turned on the light I couldn't see any details anymore. So it was mixing with the light on and painting in the dark. I was hoping for the Moon to come out a bit more, but hey the light (if any) isn't gone change that much during a nocturnal is it?
