"Going to Biljoen." Holland.

Trying to find a nice spot to paint
isn't that easy every day, today
it was one of those days. After biking
quite a bit I noticed this scene, some times
time, light and place helps a little.

"Op weg naar Biljoen." Velp, Holland.
(Going to Biljoen.) Oil on board.
18 x 24 cm.

It certainly looks like heavy rain in the sky when looking at the tree tops and the clouds. Nice that the thought of heavy rain is also present when seeing all the water on the path. It's a nice rhythm: rain sunshine rain.

This one definately has a sense of place. I lived in Seattle for about five years and got soaked and chilled to the bone. Your work makes me want to get a sweater. I have admired you skill in painting for a while.
