Fog is nice to paint, all mysterious shapes and forms.
A bit tricky because you never know when it's going to lift,
if it does at all, ...

P.s. After reviewing the photos i took, I tweaked the painting a little,
tried to get a little more fog into it.

Lovely trees fading away in the fog there at the back Rene. And that wintery ochre coloured grass just sets off the soft greys (or is it raw siena? I always end up using raw siena for living things).
Love the heavy feel to this. It's much like the PNW is quite often. But, we're actually having sunny (and cold) skies right now. Thanks for sharing your part of the world.
Lovely, but I want to know what wilg is. I am always fascinated by the similarities between English and Dutch but that one has me stumped.

Sheila I painted this entirely with the Kevin Macpherson palette, ... Ultm. Blue, Alizarin Crimson (kraplak) and Cadm. Yellow Light. So no Sienna or burnt Umber this time, I do have burnt Umber on my palette though in case that I have to speed up my painting (sunsets, changing weather or what ever) It makes lovely darks you know.
