"Sleeping beauties." Velp, Holland.

It rained the whole day, there goes the spring feeling, I thought.
But I didn't want to give in so went to my favorite garden-centre
"Overhagen" only to discover that the little flowers where still a sleep.
I painted these little beauties while they are still awaiting spring.

"Slapende schoonheden." Velp, Holland.
(Sleeping beuaties.) Oil on panel.
18 x 24 cm.

You've done a nice job of getting the feeling of a large area under glass.

What a shame the flowers weren't out to give a bit of colour.

Lovely observation of the structure of the greenhouse, I think it would be very hard to do but you represented it well - along w/the 'sleeping' flowers - the greens are good in the plants - soon they'll be in bloom!
